Roger Goulart has been recognised at the 2025 Vinari Awards, organised by the specialist publication Vadevi, a competition that each year honours the best wines from Catalonia. In this edition, the winery achieved two accolades in the sparkling wine category:
- Gold Medal for Roger Goulart Brut Coral Rosé 2023
- Silver Medal for Roger Goulart Rosé Millésimé 2023
Both cavas, which will be released to the market soon, share a meticulous winemaking process. Each grape variety is vinified separately, with a short skin maceration at low temperature. Pressing yields are limited to 50%, and the base wines ferment at 16–18 °C with selected yeasts, resulting in wines with marked acidity and low pH — ideal for long ageing.
After bottling for the second fermentation (tirage), the wines are aged in the winery’s historic underground cellars, excavated 30 metres below ground. The constant 14 °C temperature throughout the year allows for a slow, refined evolution, giving the wines their distinctive character.
This double achievement reinforces Roger Goulart’s commitment to quality, the traditional method, and the excellence of its sparkling wines in the Catalan wine scene.
